What I do with all of my shows no matter how I am going to use them is to m
ake up a page in my Microsoft Picture It and put in what Text or a picture
that I want to explain what the show is about and then also do another one
at the end so that you know when you have gotten to the last image.
I make up most of my backgrounds and put my own text on the pictures in my
imaging program rather than with the function in the Xat as I have more con
trol over what I want to do that way. Sandy

is a way to create a "title page" of text that would be the first
image to show up in a screen saver. Something such as "Our Vacation
in Hawaii" or some such.

I belive you can make a colored " background " in an art program and
then add this to your slide show ( as you would a photo ) were you
can add text as normal.

I would have thought you could go the whole way in the art program
and add text there if you wanted.

The file types I am not sure about but a jpeg would work.

I make my title pages in Photoshop 7, utilizing one of the photos. Another way is to create text in Paint and save it as jpg file. Very simple but will do what you need.
