Mark:

Xatshow is a very good program.

If you have tested it fully (e.g., with and without music, with and without
transitions) and have produced VCDs with which you are happy, then buy it.
I have.

In reading much of the critical comments, I think most of the problems are
due poor implementation by the user and/or individual computer problems
(both hardware and software) and even the quality of CDs (they aren't all
created equal).

For the money, this is an exceptional product. I rarely purchase the
license for freeware/shareware programs but this one is definitely
worth the small investment.

I sure do agree with that! I bought the program and I love it. I did my
son's wedding, the reception, my grandson's first six months and another
grandson's Easter egg coloring adventure. Four separate shows, all with
transitions and mp3 music - some 400 pictures total, and it works
wonderfully.

I admit I made about five coasters before I got the hang of it - but it's a
wonderful program if you give it a chance.

With this program, you need a dvd player on your computer
to view the slide show on a pc. I find xatshow has the best
features. The only thing I wish it had is a preview button to
see the show before creating it.

I just downloaded this new one to give it a try and right away I got an err
or but forgot to look at it that good when I went to burn the show. I did n
ot realize that you need a DVD player on the computer to see the shows so n
ow I am not any longer even interested in it.
I like Xat the best of any that I have used to date and that is quite a few
progams although I do have problems with some of the music that I would li
ke to use but I just go on to other songs. I have saved the show and previ
ewed it as created on the computer and burned it later on with my burner pr
ograms but usually just go ahead and burn anyway when I am done with it. If
it is not to my liking then I just erase the disc and redo Sandy

I watched the show on computer without a DVD player. Why were my pics messed up if it worked great for you all?

Hi
What do you mean by "My Pix were all messed up"? In what way were they mes
sed up and do you mean on the computer or the VCD?
I am still trying to get that new one to work for me as I keep getting an e
rror report when I try to burn it to a Cd. I am now wondering if it is beca
use I am using a CD-RW instead of a CD-R but the instructions do not say th
at you have to use one or the other. Sandy

They were rumbled up in people's faces. And it wouldnt let me use CD-RW, I had to use CD-R. How to erase a CD-RW?

Hi
I really have not had any problems with Xat as far as my images go other th
an a couple which were blurry but that was my fault for enlarging them too
much.
I use NTI Cd maker to erase my discs although I do not use that as a rule
to burn with but have from time to time. I like this one as it totally clea
ns everything off of the disc to reuse it again without any damage. Sandy
