When I first tried the demo download of XATshow (some 4 months ago),
I was able to include the original image files on the videoCD. A
month ago, I decided to purchase the software (version 5.02). I
made a few VCD slideshows since, but noticed that the original image
files used for the slideshow were not included in the VCD. I
emailed XATshow and I was told that there is a checkbox ("include
original image files on the VCD") on the videoCD/DVD options page.
However, I checked my version of XATshow and nowhere in the
VCD "options" page can I see that checkbox. The VCD 'options' page
just lists the following:
advanced slideshow options
rotation
run slideshow once
sync to music
spaced to music length
videoCD options
apply antiflicker filter
reduce image to fit TV
include XATshow installation on the videoCD (can't be
checked)

I would really like the ability to include the original image files
on the VCD so I can back-up the original files on the same VCD. I
emailed XATshow again regarding this matter, but no response. I
hope any of you guys can help me. By the way, where do you get the
latest beta version? Again, the version I'm using is 5.02

Hi
I do not seem to have that choice either on both the 5.02 and the new beta
version. I got my new updated one by going to the about on the lower left c
orner of the Xat menu and choosing upgrade. I have both versions on here as
I renamed the older one first before running the updated version. Sandy D

True that is what it gets you to but that is where I downloaded the newer v
ersion from without any problems at all but have not used it yet as I have
to get some more CD-RW disc to use.
Hope it is warmer where you all are located as it is danged cold here Sandy

That just gets you to "Product purchase" website.
But I am sure I tried the latest beta some time ago and I think it stored i
mages.

Many thanks Robin,
I already knew where the programs are but I was just trying to say that I w
as sure one of the betas stored images as I remember trying it. But I have
been sticking with the latest stable version for some time as it does what
I want it to and produces good image shows.
