I had several slideshows with music that I created before I had iTunes
installed. Now the MP3 files do not work in XAT. What is iTunes
doing to the files? Is there a setting within iTunes to leave them
alone? How do I restore them back the way they were?

I Tunes will rip files or import files from a CD as an acc file unless you go to advance and cange it to imort as an mp3. you can convert their form to mp3 and you can then copy and paste into your folder. You may also need a new windows player with the proper encoder. The older versions will not work with 7.0 xat will not work with apples acc format

Hi Keith and Niki,
I have Ver 7.00 5040 Xat, and continually have problems with the
programme saying my Mp3's ripped with
Musicmatch Jukebox, are not valid Mp3 and sometimes after making the show on
DVD, when playing complete music tracks are missing, I do not know what the
answer is hopefully someone from support will explain.
Mick.

My files were all mp3 files and not acc since I did
change the encoding. However, they worked prior to
iTunes and will work if I re-encode them using CDEX,
but I want to know what in iTunes is altering
something in the mp3 files to cause them not to work
with XAT 5-7.

xat uses windows player and it has to be the latest or it won't have the
proper codec what ever that is. I down loaded the latest and it worked for me. I
don't think I tunes has anything to do with it as long as you put an MP3 in
the program file

They play fine in Media Player, but not in XAT

Unless you have the newest version they will play in the player but not in XAT. If you have the newest version then I don't know what is wring.

I have version 7 of XAT and version 9 of Windows Media
Player. I cannot get version 10 of MP because I do
not have Windows XP. This all worked in previous
versions of XAT also and the only changes to the music
files would have been iTunes.
