VCD-Shows with transitions createt with 5.10 Beta 1 dont work on my
Cyberhome DVD-Player.

Music plays but the TV-sreen is back.

I choosed the following settings:
Transition random
Format VideoCD 352x...
Encoding PAL

CD-Writer: Nero ...

I also use "magix Fotos auf CD & DVD e-version" and it works.

My experiens with magix: VCD is bad, SCVD better, miniDVD good (I
have no DVD burner)

Function "slide show" is great, it would be better, if you can delate
slides.

greetings from germany

Hello geddismom

It should be simple - put disc in player - menu screen comes up -
press e.g. 1 for slide show 1 and thats it.

But life is never simple

Some players won't play the disc try another player if you can (
plays on all the players I have tried though )

If you are trying on a computer DVD player it always seems to load
the software first. Try starting the player first before loading the
disc or search from the player software.

I hope this helps Anthony

I have a sony 5 Disc DVD, it wouldn't play any slide shows I made. I went to walmart and bought an APEX DVD Player for $49.99 and it plays everything

I have one that I made in December and that works.

I did have to get a new hard drive, but all settings are the same. My dvd
player will not read cdr's. It will only play fugi cdrw's. Tried Memorex
and they would not play.

I am having trouble playing vcd on tv. It works on DVD player on my
computer, but not on tv. They used to work, but lately, they
don't. I'm guessing it's my DVD player.

Another thought do you have any of the old discs lying around that
used to work ; you could then try the player with them.

Hi
I too have had a problem with some of the Memorex not working for some reas
on and I have had darned good luck with an off brand one from Walmart with
both the CD-R and the CD-RW. Sandy

If that works it looks as there is something wrong at the
computer/software end. Have you changed something computer or
software wise ( is the pal NTSC ? setting correct )or are you using
a CD-RW as Sandy said they don't always work in the tv DVD player ?

Hi all. I just started using the program and put it to CD-R and it works fine on any computer, but I just bought a new DVD player from Toshiba and when it plays it will go so far then stop playing but the music continues. Also none of the trasitions work. I have the disc written for random but there are no trasitions. It just goes from one photo to the next. I had a friend try the CD in his high-end DVD player and it does the same thing. Any suggestions?

From what I have gathered only the newer beta version will show the transit
ions on the television but for me that does not work either. When you get t
o the last frame if the music is longer than the images then the last image
usually stays as the music continues. I have found that if I set sync to
music then they mesh together better and the whole show will just restart o
ver again. I also believe that with the pro version you can end the show wi
th the last image but I am sure one of the other members or Chris can tell
you more on this. Sandy

I have version 5.02. I was reading about 5.1 but have not been able to find it anywhere. Also I can't explain why the pictures stopped working 3/4 of the way through the slideshow on TV but the music continued.

Sorry I did not realize that you had said that some of the pictures stopped
playing when the music kept on.
I am sure if you go back through some of the messages on the forum from Ch
ris you will find the link to 5.01 and it was around the end of April or
very early May if I recall correctly.
As to why pix would not all show up that I beyond my knowledge Sandy

The pictures are stored on the VCD with no error correction so if something gos
wrong it is possible for the DVD player to get confused and lock up. All you can
do is try different CDR media.

Chris.

I found a site dvdrhelp.com. It gives vcd compatibility for dvd players
and
has a forum where people tell what brand works on that dvd player. I tried
Sony
cdrw's and it works perfectly. I guess fugi changed something in their
cdrw's
because they used to work, but don't anymore.
thanks for all the help

Can you save the project (a simple one would be good) and send me the .xats file
as well as the length of the music tracks?

Chris.
