Yes, I added the bmp to the menu on the sequencer tab. When I
preview the black slide it is grey with white lettering and the
background is black.

I have at least four black background slides at various points in the
presentation would thata be a problem?

I know to preview a slide to just click the slide tab but what I was
suggesting is to preview the whole show from slide 1 to slide 50.

AND why not preview slide 50 by first going to slide 48?
