Problems with Xat

Hi Chris
For some reason and I do not know why I just used the program for
the first time in a while to do a show and when I did the VCD it
plays fine with the music but no transitions which right now is not
my main concern. What happened is that I went to the disc that I had
kept my prior shows on which were created with version I think 5.02
and then I had downloaded the newer betta version that had the built
in burning software which I liked but now all of the music on my
other shows has disappeared.
At first I thought that there was a problem with my sound on the
computer so tried a show created with another program and that is
fine so it is something to do with Xat but what??? I am really
upset over this as I had spent many hours doing these shows up and
wanted to show them to someone who was interested in buying Xat but
sure can not do that now. Please let me know what you think as soon
as you can thanks Sandy

Hello Sandy

I'm out of ideas on this one. It doesn't make sense that if it worked once it
won't work again.
Chris.

Hi
I have no idea what went wrong either and it is most unusual for it to happ
en but it did but then later on after I did a restore on my computer they w
orked fine so think that it had something to do there and not with Xat.
Now I had another question which I may have asked before but not sure. Is t
here a good size to set the pictures at so that you do not have to do a lot
of cropping to get the whole pix on the screen or in some cases lose part
of the picture. I know that on some verticals this happens but am thinking
more on horizontal pix Sandy

Try looking if any codecs are disabled

Size doesn't matter as xatshow fits the pictures. Aspect ratio will effect
cropping but its easier to do this in xatshow than prepare the pictures before,
isn't it?

Chris.

Hi Chris
Not always as there are a lot of times when I take the picture and post it
onto a background often with text along side of it or I frame the picture a
nd then lose a lot of my work on it. Sandy

You have tried saving your setup (to a .xats file) ? This saves all your work
including cropping.

Another way would be to run your pictures though camera mode and then use these
pictures for later times.

Chris.

I do not think that you understand what I am saying so is there a way to se
nd a picture for you to look at so that you can see what I mean when I say
frame and or a background on it? I am putting one on here as an attachment
but not sure if this works on here or not. If you do get it you will see t
hat in order to not have the black area show up I would have to crop so muc
h of my picture out and then you can not see the whole image. Sandy

Hello Sandra

Your picture is square. Would it not be better to use rectangular pictures?

Chris.

Hi Chris
I have experimented with several different format sizes but when I do the f
ancy backgrounds it is hard to work with. Guess I will have to work with wh
at I have and continue to see the black around the photo. What size is that
area on the program that you put your pix into and crop? I have tried to
figure it out but to no avail Sandy
