A last minute "enhancement" broke sync to music in PC slideshows so we have had to release version 5.01. You can download it from xat.com Chris. |

Chris... I can't say I really understand what "sync to music" is supposed to do anyway. Yes, you can time the slides so that they end when the music does (and I assume the program does a calculation - Length of music track in seconds / number of slides = slide duration, right?), but what does sync to music really do? A true sync to music would provide a timeline with slide transitions set manually on that timeline. A good example is seen in the program Pictures-to-Exe. Even better would be a "filmstrip-like" track for the images underneath which would be a waveform of the soundtrack. Transition points could be entered on the timeline, adjusted as needed, etc. Take a look at the high-end non-linear video editing programs and you'll see what I mean. This would be, in my opinion anyway, the most precise way to custom sync your slides to the music. In the meantime, please explain what "sync to music" means in Xatshow. Thanks... Rick |

Hello A timeline is on the drawing board ... Sync to music means the 1st picture always starts when the first music track starts. The last picture is displayed until the music finishes. Space to music means xatshow calculates the image times so the music is all used up at the same time as the last picture. If you have Space to music you have to have Sync to music VCDs are always Sync to music Chris. |
