In MusicMatch, select File from the menu and then select Convert Files..... Find the appropriate file from the proper folder. There's aslide at the botom of the window for selecting the appropriate bit rate. Try that and l et us know if it works. Lester |

Bit Rate
Robin, I use a bit rate of 128 Kbs and I don't have nay problems. That's usually what's recommended to ensure a fairly good sound. I'm not sure what causes Xat to give the error message but try 128Kbs and see what happens. Lester |

Bit Rate
Robin, Do you have an audio editor? Which one? If so, when you save the file you should be able to select the bit rate of the MP3, possibly through an options button. Lester |

Hello robin Converting it to a WAV should do the trick. CDEX can be used to make MP3s as another way although you would probably have to go MP3 -> WAV -> MP3 http://www.cdex.n3.net/ Chris. >when creating a VCD I get the message that the bit rate of the MP3 is >too low.
