cropping in Freeware edition

Hi
When I have a picture that I only want a portion of into the slide show I d
o my cropping and what ever other changes I want with one of my photo imagi
ng programs and then put that portion of what I want in the slide show onto
a background so that I do not have the black background that is the norm.
I am fairly new to this program but love it so far Sandy D

Hi all,

I just downloaded the Freeware version of xatshow. I don't seem to
be able to crop images. I can drag a crop box on an image, but it
does not seem to be taken into account when creating the slideshow.
Any idea?

Dom

Let me rephrase that : the cropping I get is not the one I drew in
the slide tab. I get more of the picture than I want. Since I
intended to only crop so slightly, I got the full picture.
I tried cropping smaller parts of the picture, and I do get some
cropping, albeit larger and offset compared to what I drew.
Any hints?

Hello Dominique

Haven't eard of any problems with crop before.

Can you send a screen grab of what your crop looks like?

Chris.

Hi, Dominique,

I am experiencing a very similar problem with the Standard Edition.
It does work fine on one computer (which is not the one I can use) but
it won't work on mine. Both are XP machines and use Roxio for CD
burning.
Have you figured out your problem yet?

Thanks, Joyce

Hi Joyce,

I've sent the material to Chris with screen shots to show the
problem I'm experiencing, but I still have to hear from him.
I worked around the problem for this time by cropping in a separate
photo editor. Since I'm using the Freeware edition for now, I'm not
going to complain loudly! I just wanted to make the problem known.
Have a good day

Dominique
